11/11/08 Finally our foals have started arriving, updates in our foals page, two mares have foaled successfully, but we have lost one foal, Nicinda Owen Starr (Bella) had a filly foal born on Sunday night but we lost her earlier today, which was unfortunate, but Bella is doing well and not too stressed.  There will be a next time so we will keep our fingers crossed for that.  Taffy has made up proud with a lovely colt foal born today, and Nellie is such a good mum which is great as she is a maiden mare. Just one more foal to come and that is a wee way off but can't wait to see how we go there.

14/09/08  As most of you would have noticed we have moved three hours down the east coast to Greta Valley North Canterbury.  Our vineyard sold and a new farm purchased.  Mostly lovely hill country all the horses/ponies are settling in well and all muscling up with the terrain.  This year we have 4 cob foals due, and our first mare is due in October, so not long to go and we are looking forward to that.  Kinkora Miracle Dream is now at Brackenleigh Stud to be served by Trigger this month, Trigger is standing to outside mares, at Brackenleigh, so if you are interested in breeding a quality section A foal or partbred get in touch with Shaun Horan you will not be dissapointed.  Magic is looking so muscled up at this time and he will be busy serving mares from October onwards here at Willowview.  Another member to join our cobs is FAIRBURN BRIALLEN (Sire: Burrowa Trafaelwr (imp) Dam: Sunnybrae Megan).  Briallen has lines on both sides to complement our breeding program and we are looking forward to having her here on the farm shortly.  ROCHDALE TINKERBELL (Section B mare - Sire: Pendock Pilgrim Dam: Punga Katrina) will also be joining us here at Willowview, and we are looking forward to her time with us also.  So things have kept busy, and we are looking forward to the Canterbury Show Season with a few ponies out in the inhand ring ie: Willowview Magic Moments (Yearling gelding Sire: Sunnybrae Magic Man Dam: TB), Willowview English Rose (Section A - Sire: Silverbank Spellbound Romeo Dam: Gungagai Mooney) Willowview Juliette (Section A -Sire: Silverbank Spellbound Romeo Dam: Selbank Bronwyn) and Willowview Haidee (Section A - Sire: Silverbank Spellbound Romeo Dam: Gundagai Habannaa).

01/01/08  Willowview stud is relatively quiet at the moment with 'Trigger' now with Shaun Horan (Brackenleigh Stud) on long term lease and is now involved in the breeding program there.  Our new Cob mare 'Niscinda Owen Starr' (Bella) has settled in very nicely and has already been served by our 'Magic' so that is very exciting.  She will be broken in in the next few months, ridden lightly, and will be hunted in the 09' season so I am looking forward to getting her out and about.  Taffy is cruising along he is running with our riding pony mare 'Jacksfield Indecision' (Nelly) so they are keeping each other company.  We are expecting a few foals this season coming and I am looking forward to having a better foaling season later this year.  I am back in the saddle riding my lovely arabian mare 'SS Sharma' out doing CTR/Endurance and am looking forward to the SI Champs on the 10th February in Canterbury. Our Vineyard is looking great and our grapes are growing well, looking at harvesting around the middle of March this year which will be slightly earlier all going well weather wise.

23/09/07  So far the stud has had a not so good breeding season, we have lost two Cob foals in the last month and our beautiful section C mare Chawton Sequin passed away at a wonderful age of 30 years old yesterday morning.  We are however expecting two more mares to foal so we are keeping out fingers crossed there.  Trigger is back home with us and has settled back really well.  Ryan has a new riding pony stallion which he will be using for his breeding program from here on in and we wish him luck with this.  We will be out and about over the show season and Trigger will be attending the Royal in Christchurch so we are looking forward to going down there.  Taffy is looking amazing and I will be taking him to Nelson and to the Marl A&P here, and Magic has stud duties to perform so we will see after Xmas if we will take him out anywhere this season.

21/05/07 - Willowview Briar Rose and Willowview Sophistication both left today to their new home in Dargaville -  Well done Sarah on the purchase of these two lovely fillies.

21/05/07 - Gaining Supreme Exhibit of show with Willowview Supernova  at the Marlborough Breeders Foal & Youngstock show yesterday was an awesome suprise for his new owner Mandy.  A great start for a gelding whos path is destined for the showring undersaddle in the future, and another foal living up to his Sire's expectations.  Well done.

28/03/07 - Three of our this season's foals are now at their respective new homes, Willowview Romance;  Willowview Supernova, and Willowview English Rose.  Willowview Saige has been out and about in the lead rein ring at local shows and I am sure she will be seen with Courtney and her stepmum Mandy down at the dressage arena's sometime real soon.   I  travelled up to Hastings with  with Brian and Marlene Schroder (Maffodale Stud) to help run the Welsh section with Ngarie Crockett at Horse of the Year earlier this month.  It was lovely being able to take the time to help out, and we had a great time. All our stallions have now done their job with their respective mares and it will be once again exciting to see what foals grace us with their presence come August 07 onwards...

15/01/07 - We had a wonderful day at the Arab/Welsh Picnic show in Nelson yesterday, I took W.Haidee, she is now 4yrs and had not been out since she was a two year old, and was just great.  The classes had great numbers which made the day so plenti of competition and Haidee held her own with blues all the way through with a second to her Dad (silverbank spellbound romeo) in the movement class.

06/01/07 - Due to our first website with MSN communities getting harder and harder to update we have decided with the help of Ryan to make this freewebs site until we have designed our new look website which will be on line within the next few months.  Our contact details are the same and our MSN site will stay also until things settle.

17/10/06 - We have a new arrival at Willowview Stud a new colt.  "Taffy of Colwyn Bay" Section B Purebred Colt.  'Taffy' has only been here a few days and is already settling in well, becoming part of the family.  Pictures coming soon.

15/10/06 - Spring has definately hit and so we have four foals.  They are a variety of colours and personalities and oh so cute.  (see foals page).  We are just awaiting Chawton Sequin (Sec C) to grace us with our first Section D foal - she is due in November and we are awaiting Lakewood Dawn (Sec A) to foal sometime in November also. Our two Section C yearlings 'Briar Rose of Willowview' & 'Maestro of Willowview' are currently getting ready for the Inhand season with their first two shows being the Marlborough A&P and down to the Royal A&P in Christchurch shortly afterwards.  This will be the first time out for both these ponies so will be quite exciting.

26/07/06 - Half way thorough Winter now and only a couple of months until spring.  Our Vineyard is nearly pruned and tied down ready for bud burst late August early September.  We are eagerly awaiting our new foals to arrive within the next month Aug/Sept - so all is very exciting.  Preparation has started heading into the show season, our youngstock are now being rugged and hardfed giving them all the vitamins and minerals needed for maximum health and glowing coats.

Easter 2006 - A big day at the Willowview Stud, yes Tony and I were married with our Horses/Ponies and Motorbikes (guzzies), pictures of our day in the gallery page.

21/02/06 - Congratulations to Burleighvilla Ponies on the lease of Trigger, I know he will be an asset to your stud as he is to ours.  I look forward to seeing him out and about.

Sadly on 23rd Jan 06 we lost one of our mares Gundagai Feebee the mother of our first section C youngster 'WV Maestro'.  Feebee was a wonderful mare who complimented our Stallions impeckably. She will be sadly missed.
